Easy Easter Crafts and DIY Decorations

Springtime brings warmer weather, longer days and the chance to seasonally update your decor. Easy Easter crafts and DIY Easter decorations are two simple ways to bring some vibrant spring colors into your home. Don't worry if you don't have a shred of craft and/or DIY talent, you can still find some simple ways to get in the spirit of the Easter season and enjoy some fun holiday festivities with these ideas:

    Colorful Chick Placeholders

For reasons most of us can't quite explain, Easter and chicks go hand in hand (we don't question it – we simply embrace it). These colorful "chicks" are painted on the back of plastic spoons and "planted" in beautiful, hand-painted terra cotta pots. Personalize each chick with a nametag and you've got a cheerful way to direct your guests to their seats for Easter dinner.

    What You'll Need
    5 plastic spoons
    5 terra cotta pots
    Fine grit sandpaper
    Pencil with new eraser
    Floral foam
    Card stock
    White ribbon
    White tissue paper
    Hot glue gun
    White craft glue

    Craftsmart paint:
    Butter Cream
    Pink
    Grape Taffy
    Pool Blue
    Spearmint
    Orange
    Black
    White

    Tulip Bouquet with Peeps

Peeps aren't just for Easter eating; these sugary and delicious marshmallow critters can also play a pivotal role in crafting up a lovely table centerpiece. Best of all, your supply list is just five items long and really only requires "arranging" skills as opposed to full on craft talent. In short, you truly can't go wrong with this easy Easter craft.

    What You'll Need

    Lemon drop candy
    Large flower bowl
    Smaller flower bowl
    Yellow Peep bunnies
    Yellow tulips

Place smaller flower bowl inside larger bowl. Layer lemon candies around big bowl and place Peep bunnies as a top layer. Add water to middle bowl and place tulips. Bonus tip: You can use different color themes of flowers, Peeps and candies to express your personal creativity or simply match your tablescape.

    Paper Easter Egg Wreath

A colorful wreath on your front door instantly sets a springtime vibe. This DIY Easter decoration lets you cut paper eggs from any colors and designs you want and arrange them in a circular pattern.

    What You'll Need
    Paper plate
    Spring and Easter themed/colored paper
    Glue
    Glue dots
    Ribbon
Egg cookie cutter or oval cookie cutter
    Scissors

Once you have your supplies, follow these simple instructions:

    1. Cut the inner portion from the paper plate, so that you have the outer portion intact.
    2. If your paper has a design on it, turn it over and trace the cookie cutter onto the paper for a template.
    3. Cut the eggs from the paper and glue onto the back of the paper plate wreath.

Finish it off with a cheerful bow and your project is complete. For further details (and a few helpful visual aids if you need it), click here:

    What You'll Need
    Jellybeans
    Plain clothespins
    Small plastic baggies
    Googly eyes
    Pipe cleaners

Fill each plastic baggie with roughly 50 jellybeans. Decorate the clothespin and clip it onto bag. Finish with pipe cleaners for butterfly feelers. Visit this site for more information.
